Cushion Making: Tues 28th May (evening)

Service Description

6.30 - 9.30pm on the 28th May This is suitable for those who have been on one of our beginner's sewing courses or for those who already have some basic sewing skills, albeit a little rusty. You will learn how to plan, create and complete a beautifully 45 x 45cm square feather filled, piped cushion under the tuition of Tracy Roberts who is a professional curtain/cushion/roman blind maker. Her work is incredible and she will share her skills with you all to create plump, gorgeous and hand made cushions for your own homes (make lovely gifts too). You can have some fun getting creative choosing the fabrics and piping too. There are a few things you will need to bring along and we will provide the rest. What you will need: Sewing machine (if you don't have one we will help with advice for this) Notepad and pencil Fabric Scissors Fabric and matching thread for the project (half a metre, we will advise on the best selections including a beautiful selection of Willis Bloom fabrics.) If you would like to use one of the fabrics we provide there is just an additional £15 charge (It is usually £72 per meter as it is a beautiful linen/cotton union so this is a fabulous option). If you would like pom poms or fringings instead to frame your cushion (would look amazing!) you would need 2m of that to trim. Again let us know and we can advise on what you need and where you can buy it. 40cm zip. Pins and needles.
